MAN-Service Academy Salzgitter

On the 15th of June '10, we were invited the first time to the international MAN Service Training Centre in Salzgitter. The aim of the visit at the Service Academy was to support the trainers and instructors in the training of the service men on the maintenance and the repair of coach lavatories.

In the initial seminar part, our expert, graduate engineer Mr. Thomas Naujoks, explained the common coach sanitary technology in general, while the instructors demonstrated how to find spare parts easily by the GLOVA-provided documents in the MAN information system. The second part of the seminar included a practical training directly at the two premium coaches City- and Starliner 2. The eight participants had to identify the different flushing systems as well as to make proposals for the maintenance and the repair of selected components.
